Message from the CEO

Something that accumulates, like strata.

Most conversations about AI settle on model capability. But when a company actually tries to embed AI in its operations, the first obstacle is rarely how clever the model is. There is not enough compute; the unit economics cannot be forecast; nobody owns operations. Almost everything stops short of the model.

That earlier ground is our business. How compute is procured, how it is kept running, what inference costs to serve, and who keeps operating it. It is unglamorous, largely invisible from outside, and — once built — it keeps paying for a long time.

Since our founding in 2024 we have worked on nothing else. It is not a fashionable field, and few firms are willing to carry it. If our clients' businesses are going to last ten years, we would like the ground beneath them to last ten years too.

Please bring us in while it is still an idea. We are glad to start the conversation before anything has been decided.

Yukiko Sato, Representative Director, Yolaiz Inc.

Origin of the name

Yolaiz

The letters A and I sit in the middle of the name. Yol-AI-z. That is not an accident.

The first part comes from the Japanese word yoridokoro (拠り所) — the ground you have to be standing on before you can move at all. The ending is the English suffix -ize, as in realize and materialize: to actually make it so.

Our work is not to build AI itself. It is to lay the compute beneath it, and to turn what comes out of it into working operations above. The two sides of AI — below and above — are our territory.

The spelling of the name is the structure of the business.

Bring us in while it is still an idea.

The most common questions we receive are "how many GPUs should we buy" and "should we own or rent". We welcome conversations long before requirements are settled.
